Harriet Churgel

Today we attended the memorial service for Harriet Churgel who passed away on Thursday. She was part of my American extended family that I've spent most Thanksgivings and Christmases with since I moved to California. Here's a photo of Harriet with Dani from last Christmas. She's a wonderful human being who will be missed by many.

Essam and Michelle just returned from China with exciting news - they're engaged! It was fun hearing about how Essam proposed to Michelle's parents in Mandarin. We're looking forward to the wedding next year.

Dineo is 8 weeks old

Dineo turns 8 weeks tomorrow. She has reflux so she's not the happy baby that Dani was. Of course when I tell people this they never fail to scold me for comparing the two. Anyway, she was in a relatively good mood tonight so here are rare shots of her enoying my goofiness.
