An Inconvenient Truth

We just saw "An Inconvenient Truth" tonight. Everyone should see this important documentary where Al Gore talks about global warming. This global crisis requires all of us to swiftly respond because our future on this planet is at stake. Whatever your political disposition, you owe it to yourself to get informed.

Roger Ebert said the following in his review of the movie:
"In 39 years, I have never written these words in a movie review, but here they are: You owe it to yourself to see this film. If you do not, and you have grandchildren, you should explain to them why you decided not to.”

There's already been this misleading attack on the movie from Fox News.

The Da Vinci Code

We just saw the movie on Friday, and contrary to what seems to be the critical consensus, I thought this was a very good adaptation of Dan Brown's book. Don't be discouraged by the reviews - you should definitely check this out!

Visit from Paul

We had fun this Saturday with Paul English who was in the Bay Area and came over to our place to meet Dani for the first time. It was great to hear about how his company kayak.com is doing and all the media attention he's been getting for gethuman.com.

Congratulations Julie and Nic!

Nic and Julie were blessed with the arrival of their son Alaix Junichiro Busette at 1:39AM on Thursday May 18th. We were wondering which baby would be born first. I guess Alaix wins but we'll be celebrating their birthdays on the same day!

Introducing Danielle Maropeng Molotsi

Our baby girl was born today at 5:22pm. She was 7 lbs 7 oz and 20" long.

She's named Danielle after Michelle's late father Danilo. Her middle name Maropeng means "the place where we once lived" in Sotho and is the name of my mother's eldest sister (also deceased).
