We were over at August, Anand, and Connie's place tonight where Anand treated us to a wonderful Indian feast of kababs, briani, okra, and fresh made bread. Here's August trying to teach Dani to dance. Click here for more photos.

Saints vs. Eagles
We had friends over to watch the Saints/Eagles playoff game. Mikie is a big Eagles fan so one of us was going to be very disappointed with the result. I'm glad it's me who's going to have a happy weekend!
Here's Sylvia and Mike with Dani. Click here for more photos.

Lying Liars Club
Read this interesting op-ed piece by Pat Forde about Nick Saban who just left his job as the Miami Dolphins head coach to be the new football coach at Alabama. Saban had angrily maintained on several occasions he was not interested in the Alabama job hence drawing Forde's ire.
Which makes me wonder what Forde thinks of the president. On November 1, 2006, George Bush said he wanted Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and Vice President Dick Cheney to remain with him until the end of his presidency. "Both of these men are doing fantastic jobs and I strongly support them", Bush said. A week later, after the mid-term elections, Bush announced Rumsfeld's resignation. Bush's explanation for this deception was he didn't want to "inject a major decision about this war in the final days of a campaign."
I know politicians lie all the time but I'm surprised this brazen example didn't get more press.
